These shots of Carla Ulbrich were taken when she opened for Cheryl Wheeler at The Handlebar in April, 1998. Carla is a great singer/songwriter. One of her songs, "What if Your Girlfriend Was Gone" won first place in the open category of the MidAtlantic (Songwriters Assoc of Washington) contest, and second place overall. Way to go, Carla!
She is full of life, fun, and entertaining with a great voice, and a marvel on the accoustic and jazz guitar. Like most of my "other" favorite performers, she has a great stage presence, and makes concert-going always a pleasure. Her first CD is expected to be available in the Spring of 1999.
